- Parts of Speech Basic: the basic elements of the English language: nouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, prepositions, determiners, conjunctions and interjections. What they are and how they interact with the other parts of speech. The distinctive features of each group and the basic rules to use them accurately.
- Tenses: to identify and use all the verb tenses of the English language; to use different tenses to accurately describe when a specific action was completed; to master the verb tenses so as to facilitate the overall communication.
- Passive Voice: to use the passive voice; to emphasize the action or the object of the action rather than the person completing the action.
- Modal verbs: to identify and use auxiliary verbs that express modality; different ways to express intention, probability, will, obligation, necessity and/or suggestion.
